Short version

Updated: September 2025

At Nors Care AS, we take good care of your information. It’s your data, and you’re in charge! We process it securely and in accordance with Norwegian law.

It is our responsibility to process your personal data lawfully.

In this privacy policy, you have the right to information about who we are, why we process personal data about you, and how we process it. We also have a longer, more detailed privacy policy. You can find it here.

What is personal data?

It is information that can be linked to you as an individual, such as your name, place of residence, phone number, email address, or IP address. Some data—like health information—is particularly sensitive and receives extra protection.

Who is responsible?

Nors Care AS, organization number 918 158 073 (address: C. J. Hambros plass 2D, 0164 Oslo, Norway), is responsible for how we use your data.

What is Nørs?

Nørs is an app with reliable information on various women’s health topics, where you can, among other things, enter information about your menstrual cycle, pregnancy, or postpartum period. Using the app is voluntary, and you can delete your account at any time.

Which rules apply?

We follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norwegian law to ensure your data is stored and used correctly.

What data do we collect?

If you create an account, you may provide:

  • Mobile phone number (for secure login with two-factor authentication)

  • Email address (for secure login with two-factor authentication)

  • Municipality (to provide relevant information about local health services)

  • Age (to tailor content and to ensure you are over 13)

  • Whether you use hormonal contraception (this helps us tailor the information you see in the app)

  • Whether and how much you exercise (this helps us tailor the information you see in the app)

  • Your known women’s health conditions/diagnoses (this helps us tailor the information you see in the app)

  • Interests related to health, lifestyle, and similar areas (this helps us tailor the information you see in the app)

  • If you are pregnant: due date, your role in the pregnancy, and whether you are expecting one or multiple children

  • If you have children: the child’s date of birth, name, and gender

We may also collect information about your location (if you allow it) and other information you choose to add yourself, such as what you enter in the log, calendar or settings, or weight and height for you or your child.

What do we use the data for?

We use the information to provide you with better and more relevant content, and to fulfill our legal obligations, such as under the Accounting Act. We do not share your personal data with others.

Statistics from the app may be shared with women’s health researchers, but never data that can be traced back to you.

Web analytics

We use analytics tools in the app to gain insight into our users’ needs so we can build better solutions. In the analytics tool, we collect anonymized and aggregated usage data—not health data or other sensitive information.

Where is the data stored?

Your data is stored securely and encrypted on servers in the EU (Germany).
